FFA News and Notes
RAGE; BOBCATS ASSIST INJURED MOTORISTS
Stuart, FL
January 21, 2012
FFA fans are used to seeing the Orlando Rage and TC
Bobcats meeting on the gridiron, but Saturday the
players met in an unusual location-Florida's Turnpike.
At approximately 3:30 pm Saturday the Orlando Rage team
bus was traveling southbound on Florida's Turnpike to
Miami. Coincidentally, Bobcats players were
traveling along the same stretch of the turnpike to Fort
Lauderdale to take on the Broward Bears.
At that
instant a northbound vehicle lost control and flipped
over the guardrail into the southbound lane and ejecting
passengers onto the roadway.
Bobcat players Daniel LaFleur and another immediately
got into action to stop traffic and lend assistance as
the Rage bus pulled over to assist. LaFleur led the
charge to roll the vehicle off of a teenage boy who was
partially trapped under the crashed SUV. Once the car
was righted, Rage DB Dale Boston and others wrestled the
mangled interior of the vehicle to extract another
victim.
On the Rage bus was Offensive Line coach, Rick Leita,
Director of Paramedics in Seminole county and a 25 year
firefighter/paramedic. Leita, with assistance of LaFleur,
Rage staff and players, another off-duty paramedic and
two nurses who came upon the scene were able to triage
the victims, consisting of a 7 year old girl, two teen
boys and two adults.
"When we pulled up all that I saw was an overturned
vehicle in our lane, bodies on the roadway and a little,
pink child's car seat-my heart immediately sunk" said
Rage President, Christopher Morrison. "We rushed out to
assist with our game day medical kit and a busload of
strong arms to aid. I hope that our presence and the
heroics of Daniel [LaFleur] and Rick [Leita] will aid in
the family's recovery" Morrison concluded.

News Release July 16th, 2010
Delray Beach, FL

THE BIRTH OF THE “SOLDIERS”
The years have come and gone some filled with joy, some
filled with pain. Yet! Not one year would be traded from
our lives of being part of the former team known as the
East Coast Reapers. After 7 yrs in existence Owner/Ceo
Christopher McIntosh has chosen to change the name of
his team from the East Coast Reapers to the Tri-County
Soldiers. “Although it wasn’t an easy thing to do
because I’m a Reaper at heart, always was and always
will be” stated Mr. McIntosh “It’s something that had to
be done for the betterment of our organization”. What he
meant is that being out there in the public eye
soliciting for sponsorship was not generating a expected
results believe it or not due to the name. A lot of
businesses were hesitant with the name being so closely
linked to death and evilness and those in turn linking
their name to this could be counterproductive to their
companies.
The “Soldier” name was actually voted on by some staff
and football players, players that Mr. McIntosh
considers the nucleus of his organization. Tri-County
was thought of by the owner to represent all players
that might join the team from the existing three
counties of Palm Beach, Broward and Dade. The reason for
“Soldiers” is that’s the caliber of player they would
like on the team! Players that are willing to sacrifice
self for team and a bigger cause, that understand
structure and discipline and that understand the true
meaning of “I AM MY BROTHERS KEEPER”. A Team of
“SOLDIERS” a Team of “ONE”.
Now you might ask, what do they know about being
a soldier? I’ll tell you. Owner Christopher McIntosh has
6yrs of service (3) in combat with the U.S. ARMY.
Anthony Beasley,
his new man at the helm New Head Coach, whom help drive
the Magic City Bulls to (2) of its league championships
as a coordinator has 9yrs of service in the U.S. Air
force. Dwight
Valentine, assistant offensive coordinator and QB’s
coach has 13yrs + in the U.S. Navy and is in the
reserves as a Marine presently. Now that’s almost 30yrs
of combined service and sacrifice for a bigger cause.
With that going forward the Soldiers have one mission in
mind “THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP” in Daytona!! Although
we’re “Reapers” at heart stated Vice President and Owner
Paula McIntosh, this new birth of the Soldiers is a
journey that I’m looking forward too!

Man” Hoyte
